MEA Votes Editorial Policy, Comment Guidelines and Disclaimer

MEA Votes is the online home of the Michigan Education Association Political Action Committee (MEA-PAC). It includes a blog designed to provide a forum for discussion about key education and union issues and their role in the political process.

In order to comment on MEA Votes, you must create a username using a valid e-mail address. Your username does not have to include your name, but may not contain any profanities or other derogatory terms - usernames may be edited at the discretion of MEA-PAC staff. Anonymous comments are not allowed.

Comments are subject to review, editing and deletion at the sole discretion of MEA-PAC staff. Comments will not be edited or deleted based on the political opinions expressed by the author. Comments expressing personal attacks, insults, profanities or indecent, defamatory or false information will be edited or deleted. Comments violating copyright law will also be deleted, although linking to other Web sites and providing short, cited quotes from other copyrighted information is allowed and encouraged.

Initial posts by new usernames are moderated by MEA-PAC staff, until such time as it is believed the username can be granted "trusted commenter" status. Determination of trusted commenter status (including revoking said status) is at the sole discretion of MEA-PAC staff.
