New report: Dillon Plan would cost taxpayers millions, bad for Michigan

Remember hearing about how Speaker of the House Andy Dillon had introduced a plan that he claimed would save the state millions by pooling benefits for groups like teachers and educational staff, police and firefighters? Well, he was wrong then, and a new study by an independent national research firm shows exactly how wrong he was.

The short of it - the plan would cost taxpayers up to $500 million just to launch, and up to an additional $370 million a year to administer. How does that save money? Read all the results here.

Seriously?

This is so flipping ridiculous.. How can people implement acts, laws and plans that are so asinine? I like the fact that it pools benefits for teaches and educators, don't get me wrong about that.. But does it really even?

That's crazy about the $500 million dollars it would take to launch. So insane.. Then another $370 million per year? *Shakes head..*
