Plan To Vote

Don’t just wing it – making a plan to vote helps ensure you get out and make your voice heard in elections.

Are you registered to vote?

Look up your information to make sure – if you’re not registered at your current address, you can register online until 14 days before an election (or in-person with your clerk right up until election day).

2 Who are you supporting?

Find MEA recommended candidat es that have been identified as friends of public education by your fellow educators.

3 How will you vote?

Vote from Home: Request your absentee ballot – or learn more about the process and timelines.
Early Voting: You can vote early at your local clerk’s office (or in other satellite locations) – learn more about this option.
At The Polls: Your polling place is open for voting from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. (local time) on Election Day. Remember, if you’re in line by 8 p.m., you’re allowed to vote.

4 When will you vote?

Make sure your absentee ballot is turned in by Election Day, either by mail, at your clerk’s office, or via a secure drop box.

If you’re early voting, when and where are you going?

Voting on Election Day? Find your polling place and decide when during the day you’re going to go. Don’t leave your vote and your voice up to chance, traffic, weather or other things you can’t control – make a plan!
